The Wild Kind is a registered dog rescue built on one simple belief: every dog deserves to be understood, loved and given the chance of a brighter future.
We offer dogs a safe and loving place to land, whether that is in one of our carefully supported foster homes or, as we build Project Home, at our home-style rescue base. Here, they can decompress, feel secure and be truly known as individuals before taking the next step towards a family of their own.
We believe rescue should be thoughtful, honest and always centred around the dog. We take the time to understand each dog’s personality and needs, make careful matches designed to last, and provide lifelong support to the families who welcome them home.
We may be a small rescue, but we have big hearts and with the help of our adopters, foster families, volunteers and supporters, we are creating something truly special.

Do you want to help us to rescue dogs in need and build our own rescue facility in Shropshire? We welcome (and very much appreciate) all donations, whether they be one-off, regular, gift or corporate donations. In return you will be helping dogs to live their best life both now and in the future.

At the moment we are supported by an amazing network of fosterers who help us to find the perfect person for each and every dog in our care. But, we have big plans. We are building something really special.
It won’t be a traditional block of kennels, but a calm, home-style base where dogs can just be dogs. Dogs needs will be at the very core of its design so that we can help them to decompress, feel safe, and be properly understood before moving on to their forever homes.
We have the space which is a great start. Now, we are in the early stages of planning, preparing, and bringing the vision to life piece by piece.
With the support of dog lovers, adopters and fosterers, companies and others, we’ll be creating a place where every dog gets the time, care, and kindness they truly deserve - the kind of start that every dog deserves. 🐾
